Obituary of Marjorie May Tripp

Marjorie Tripp (nee McCarrell) of Port Perry was born on October 9, 1924. She was the dear mother of Robert (Shirley), Doris Sinkins (George), Norm (predeceased) (Marilyn), Donna Lane (Ross), David, Gloria Brault (Claude), Nancy Evans (Ron), Gord (Brenda) and Brian (predeceased) (Wendy), and proud Grandma of Murray, Michael, Mark, Cathy, Jim, Jackie, Richie, Sandra, Kevin, Sheri, Wendy, Darrin, Melody, Greg, Rachelle, Lisa, Jeffery and Bryan and was great-grandma to twenty-five. During her very full life, she raised nine children, built a successful real estate career and was always an active and engaged member of her community. She particularly enjoyed her time spent as a member of the Rebekah Lodge and as a volunteer with the Hospital Auxiliary of Lakeridge Health, Port Perry. Marj passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry at the age of 91. Marj, the eldest of 4 sisters, was predeceased by Doris Cartier, is survived by Doreen Jones and will be dearly missed by her sister, Margaret Shaver. Family and friends may call at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry on Sunday, April 24th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. and on Monday, April 25th from 10 - 11 a.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Reverend Kinnear officiating.
