Obituary of Helen Agnes Jewell

On Sunday, January 22, 2017, at the Ross Memorial Hospital, in Lindsay, at age 97. Helen (Gilson) of Prince Albert, beloved wife of the late Ernest Jewell. Will be remembered by her loving nieces, Vivian, Jeannie, Louise and her husband Leonard, Nancy and her husband Gary, Mary Lynne and her husband John, Elizabeth and her husband Randy, Doris, Elaine and her husband John, and their families. Helen was a school teacher, after she moved to Port Perry she helped at a nursery school at the Port Perry United Church. Over the years she enjoyed travelling, her vegetable garden, and doing crafts. She enjoyed her cats and watching the many birds in her backyard. She was an avid volunteer and supporter of the Friendly Visitors, Community Care and her church. The family of Helen Jewell will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905- 985-2171) on Thursday, January 26th from 10 - 11 a.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Reverend Elaine Hall officiating.
