Obituary of Janet Vernon

Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 91. Janet (nee Swain), beloved wife of Clare Vernon of Port Perry for 71 years. Loving mother of Gord and his wife Chris of Belleville, Bev and his wife Margaret of London, Margaret and her husband Ed Miller of Fergus, Kathy and her husband the late Richard Hewitt of Omemee, and Patti and her husband Tim Ashbridge of Courtice. Loved grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Percy Swain, Winnie Cordingley, David Swain, the late Reta Wilson and the late Ernie Swain. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and her many friends and neighbours. The family of Janet Vernon will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, March 10th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, March 11th at 2 p.m. with Reverend Don Willmer officiating.
