Obituary of David Ion Trant

Peacefully, at his home after a short illness, on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at age 58. Dave Trant of Prince Albert, beloved husband of Sheila (nee Emmerson). Loved brother of Hope and her husband Rod Moyes of Wellington, Ontario. He will be missed by his nieces and his grandniece.

Wit, artist, cad: Dave had an interesting life and no regrets, other than leaving us earlier than he thought he would. Every day was punctuated with many, many puns. A natural athlete, Dave enjoyed vintage motorcycle racing, golf, curling, kayaking, badminton and recently pickleball. His favourite pastimes were archery, fishing and boating on his Jeanneau NC795. He loved his Moto Guzzi Breva, a 50th birthday present. Animals loved him, and it was mutual. He and his wife were lucky to travel, and among those adventures were several trips with friends exploring family history in Newfoundland and Ireland. He will be greatly missed by Sheila to whom he was married 33 years; they were best friends who built their lives around one another.
