Obituary of Jennifer Mary Yvonne Turner

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jennifer Mary Yvonne Turner (nee Pickett) announce that she has gone to be with her Lord in Heaven. After a three-year fight with lung cancer, Jenn spent a graceful week at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry, Ontario where she peacefully slipped away on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Jenn was born in Clinton, Ontario on February 28, 1986 to Gordon Pickett and Shari Lynn Salive (deceased, October, 2024).

Jenny is deeply mourned by her loving husband, Hanson Turner, daughter, Faith and son, Elijah. She will be sadly missed by her sisters: Anita Pickett-Thomas (Don Thomas); Renaye Pickett; Chantel Pickett (Dan Hurbert); and stepbrother Douglas Schadler. Also sadly missed by her parents-in-law, Karen Smith Turner and Steve Smith.

Jenn was a member of Emmanuel Community Church of Port Perry, Scugog Bikers Church, and Kawartha Lakes Bikers Church. She loved her churches, and they loved her as evidenced by the large number of people who came to pray for her in her final days.

Jenn was a remarkable woman and more than a friend; she was a gift from God. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering faith brightened even the darkest of days. Jenn also leaves a legacy of touching lives in her community through her love of pets and the business of their care.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 5th at Emmanual Community Church, 1680 Reach St, Port Perry, at 10:00 a.m.  With Jenn’s passion of being Jesus’ hands and feet to the world around her, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Benevolence Fund at Emmanual Community Church, https://pushpay.com/g/emmanuelcc to help other families in need.

Though our hearts ache, we rejoice knowing Jenn is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Saviour, where we will one day be reunited. Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.waggfuneralhome.com
