Obituary of Mary Marguerite Brinkman
Peacefully on Sunday April 6, 2025, Mary Marguerite Brinkman (nee Wilson), passed away at the Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert James Brinkman. Devoted mother to Gina Boyd (Bob), Charles Brinkman, Judy MacLeod (John), and Gloria Sherwood (Ed). Cherished grandmother to Katherine, Devin, Tristan, and step-grandmother to Cameron, Brooke, and Hayley. Dear sister to Glen Wilson. Mary is predeceased by her siblings Jean Stroud and Clem Wilson.
Mary was born on December 22, 1934 in Port Perry to Charles and Laura Wilson. Mary was a very active and lifelong member of the Port Perry United Church, and volunteered to various organizations within the community. She was a career nurse at Port Perry Hospital (Lakeridge Health) for years and helped deliver several generations of Port Perry babies.
Loving mom, grandmother, sister, special aunt, neighbour, and friend to many. Always remembered for her big heart and warm smile.
The family of Mary Brinkman will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, April 11th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, April 12th at 11 a.m.
