Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the Waterloo Region Health Network Hospital, at age 89. Agnes (nee Buch) formerly of Port Perry, beloved wife of the late Norman Haugen. Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Agnes was born in Barry’s Bay, Ontario to parents Francis Buch and Anna Blaskavitch. Agnes’ life was a testament to faith, family, and unwavering kindness. She dedicated her life to raising her five children Patricia (Rob), Kevin (Emily), Paula, Jacqueline (John) and Jeffrey with her devoted husband, Norman Haugen. Her love extended to her six grandchildren, Morgan, Brianna, Brayden, Zachary, Riley and Nate and her two great grandchildren Mila and Ryley.
Agnes’ talents and skills knew no limits. She worked as a hairdresser, restaurant owner, seamstress, caregiver, baker and florist. She shared many of her talents as a long-time parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church. Her favourite past time was sharing a cup of tea or glass of wine at the kitchen table with family and friends. We find comfort in knowing Agnes is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Norman and brothers Sylvester, Ambrose, John and Louis Buch. She is survived by her sisters Rose Llewellyn, Barbara Visneskie, and Margaret Jackson and her brothers Leonard Buch (Marcella), Florien Buch (Sheila), and Abbie Buch (Colleen), brother-in-law Bruce Haugen (Louise) and sister-in-law Sharon Benigno.
