It was always a pleasure to be in the company of Wally Bone. His sense of humour and his welcoming nature made one happy to spend time with him - whether that involved his musical talents, or during one of his favourite pastimes, boating on the Trent-Severn.
We all remember his performances with the County Town Singers and the Scugog Choral Society. We were all saddened that he had a hard time with his severe health issues, and were equally amazed by his courage in coping with them.
He will be sadly missed in the community.
Catherine and Tom Millar.

Walter Bone … Wally … the MOST beautiful tenor in all of Durham and beyond … and a wonderful friend - funny, so funny, brutally honest, kind, loyal, sensitive, a total pleasure to be around. Andrew and I have such great memories of the many dinners we shared with “our gang,” of the time he sang at our wedding, of the many shows we did together. Our hearts go out to you, Barb. We hope you can hang on to your favourite memories while you navigate this sad, sad time.

Wally was one of the first people I met when I joined the Scugog Choral Society in 1994, after I started teaching in Port Perry just two years prior to that.
He was so welcoming and made me feel right at home.
I always knew Wally to be kind, generous, and very funny.
He had the most beautiful singing voice.
He loved to joke during rehearsals. He and Barb were always very generous in hosting our cast parties where we would continue to be entertained by Wally’s sense of humour, gorgeous voice, and kind heart. He will be dearly missed.
Barb, my heart goes out to you. I will hold you in my thoughts as you navigate this most heartbreaking journey of grief. Sending you love.

It was a pleasure getting to know Wally on my many trips to Port Perry to visit my sister. His humor kept us laughing and his singing voice was a pleasure to hear. Our thoughts are with Barb and Wally’s family.

Wally we will miss you so much, our talks, your laugh, and your friendship. We will miss your words of wisdom and advice you have shared with us over the decades, sometimes reflective, sometimes serious and sometimes downright hilarious. Many times when we hit a crossroads in life Terry has said “What would Wally do?”
We will always hold our memories near. Our condolences to Barb and to all Wally’s family and friends. Rip Friend

Oh Barb, I feel so sad to hear of Wally’s passing. He was one of my favourite people. His presence uplifted any gathering. I so enjoyed talking to him at Hugh’s funeral. I know he loved you very much and I know that you returned that love. He will be missed by all of us.
