Obituary of Lloyd Elwood Trewin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Trewin, at the age of 78 years, after a valiant battle with esophagus cancer on Monday, October 6, 2025. Beloved brother of Earle Trewin (Marlene). Devoted uncle of Greg (Amber) and Brad (Leila). Predeceased by his parents Fred & Jean Trewin. Lloyd was a lifetime resident of Blackstock, a graduate of Cartwright High School and he received a Bachelor of Arts (1971) and a Bachelor of Education (1972) from York University / Glendon College. Lloyd & Earle owned and operated Trewin Farm Equipment together for over 50 years. He was an excellent photographer, a local and world historian, a huge collector of memorabilia related to music, movies and TV shows. His mind was an encyclopaedia of knowledge in those areas. He was also an avid yard-saler. A gathering to Celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, October 26th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with speeches at 2:00 pm, at the Nestleton Community Centre, 3971 Hwy. 7A in Nestleton. If desired, memorial donations may be made to The War Amps CHAMP Program or a charity of your choice. Also, if you are able to, please become a blood donor. Blood transfusions saved Lloyd’s life several times over the years. Memories, photos & condolences may be shared to Wagg Funeral Home at www.waggfuneralhome.com
