I hope his sister and those close smile at a couple memories that I can recall. In Vincent Massey, Stevie (‘weebles’ )was a bit of a legend for those around his grade. He was considered a tough guy (unless his big brother Peetie was around (now there are two characters!)) I recall one time going home and mentioning to my mom that I had had some altercation with Stevie at school, what does my mom do, like all good moms, she marches me over to Carlisle Avenue to talk to Stevie's mom. Stevie was called in and made to apologize by his mom;) (she was a nice lady) I thought it was the worst thing that mom could have done! But somehow that interaction allowed Stevie and I an avenue to talk and he was always a great guy after that and we would laugh about it. I recall a party he had on Hobbs likely after High Scholl, likely his moms place, Stevie was out there first thing in the morning with a hose washing the house down. I recall around grade 6 when the 'toke stone' (behind Macs Milk)was in the woods and we all had forts. The legend was that Stevie had his there and you were scared to death of finding it...lol. He was actually a great guy, but in Vincent Massey he had to maintain that tough guy image. Years later across from the cemetery you could visit, and even though he hardly ever left, he always kept up on everyone and everything, his ears were everywhere;) Stevie was a good guy, I wished I ran into him more over the years RIP.
