I find this very hard to write and I've tried several times. Sheila and I worked together at the OHA and she was an original; tough but a true softy, open and honest and someone I trusted. Life threw her curves but she always had the inner strength to keep going. She loved her kids more than anything. We lost touch when she and I left the OHA but we reconnected on FaceBook on it felt good to be in touch again.

I remember the day we met, we were interviewing each other, with Liv outside ready to burst in if needed. It doesn’t seem that long ago but over time we became close family friends, even sharing Christmas dinners. Amazing times over the years, sharing food, laughs, some tears, then life hit hard. Sheila was a wonderful person, truly, one of a kind, whose heart, wisdom and laughter would cast light on the darkest day. I am forever grateful to have had Sheila in my life and I will keep our friendship close to my heart. My sincere condolences to family, friends and all who knew her. Sheila was a force to be reckoned with and I’m so grateful to have rumbled with the best.

I wanted to connect a message to this tribute wall in memory of Sheila, as unfortunately we are not able to be at the service tomorrow in Minden.
I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet Sheila up on our lake. She was truly an incredible person, so loving and so kind. I will forever miss her hugs and having nice chats with her about the world and what crazy things that were going on. I won’t miss her beating me time and time again in cards and that coy little smile she always had on her face when doing so. Actually I will miss that, and many more attributes this lovely lady had. I know that she will be watching down upon us and finding more ways to brighten our days as that is just the way she was.
Sheila, thank you dearly for the time we got to spend together..,You are a true gem that will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

To All The Collins Families :
So saddened to hear of Sheila’s passing . We were fortunate to have a gathering with Sheila and cousins when we visited Ontario. Even though we live miles apart we had a strong connection. Sheila was a sweet and gentle person.
