Obituary of Scott Herbert Stainton
Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at his home in Little Britain, at age 79. Loved father of Melanie Stainton. Loving grandfather of Taylor. Dear brother of Wayne (the late Daphen), Reid (Clare), Catherine (Dave) Ballingall, Bryan (Joan) and Bruce (Gail). Scott will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews, Stacey (Andrea), Tara (Danny), Ross (deceased), Vicki (Graham), Annette (Gabriel), Tracy (Jason), Corey, Jordan, Shannon (Binh), Brittany and great nieces and nephews, Dustin, Coty, Joseph, Teghan and Tessa. He was predeceased by his parents Angus Lewellyn and Velma Cathleen. Scotty was a proud IBEW 353 electrician for 44 years, known for his strong work ethic and dedication. After his retirement, he truly embraced life — enjoying time spent travelling, golfing, and making memories with his family. Scotty had a natural gift for making people laugh and was always ready to lend a hand to a neighbour in need. He cherished his family, friends, and community, and his kindness, humour, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
