I still remember my very first telephone conversation with June shortly after my wife and I had moved into a Westshore bungalow. She was well into her eighties, but she was sharp as a tack. Age was not a factor here. During our conversation, June did not miss a beat. June had a Mini Mouse plastic blowup on her property which my young grandaughter Tessa simply adored. Well, one day June gave that blowup to her to take back to her home in Ottawa. Tessa enjoyed that Mini Mouse for a number of years. We always remember this kind and thoughtful gesture on June's part. Tessa never forgot where it came from. I have met many fine people along the way but June stood out. May she rest in peace. Doug and Mary Ann Suppelsa
