Obituary of Mary Louise Andrews

Peacefully, with her family by her side on Sunday June 28, 2026 at the Lakeridge Health in Oshawa, at age 83. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 64 years, Edward Andrews. Loving mother of Mike (Anita), Michele, Mark (Maria-Teresa), and Misty (Jonathan). Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Karl), Dillon (Sylvia), Zachary, Eva, Emilie, Alyssa, and Everleigh. Proud great-grandmother of Nicole, Alexis, and Leah. Dear sister of Doug (Marlene). Mary was predeceased by her sisters Alberta, Gloria, Doris, and Wilma. She was also well-loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Mary lived her life with kindness, optimism, and grace. Loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, she will be remembered for her warm humour, easy laughter, sweet nature, positive outlook, and zest for life. She cherished her fond memories of travels to Europe and China and found joy in playing her ukulele, practicing yoga and tai chi, golfing, and taking walks with her beloved dog, Teddy.

Her home was always warm and welcoming, a place where family and friends gathered and felt at ease. It often carried the comforting scent of fresh laundry, a simple reflection of the care and love she put into her home. Mary had a special love for birds and dragonflies and treasured the many happy memories made at the cottage and in many hockey arenas alongside those she loved. Above all, Mary’s greatest joy was her family. The love and memories she created with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will be cherished for generations to come.
