RUTH OLIVE SHORT ~ After a lengthy illness, on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 80. Ruth Short (nee Duff), beloved wife of Lloyd Short of Port Perry. Loved mother of Richard Short and his wife Betty Jane of Blackstock, and Deborah and her husband Terry Stephenson of Scugog Point. Loving grandmother of Ben Stephenson (Alaina), Andrea Hayward (Mike), Danielle Ouellette (Trevor), Kirsten Short, MacKenzie Stephenson, and great grandmother of Jack Hayward, Kendra MacMillian, and Adele Stephenson. Dear sister of Ross Duff (deceased) and his wife Alma of Blackstock, Helen and her husband Charles Randall (deceased) of Agincourt, Myrtle and her husband Eric Langinholt of Don Mills, Thomas Duff and his wife Betty of Lindsay and Robert Duff of Scugog Island. The family of Ruth Short will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, April 30th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Port Perry United Church on Saturday, May 1st at 11 a.m. with Reverend Elaine Sveet officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert.
