Obituary of May Mary Van den Tweel

May Mary Van den Tweel is on her new journey to heaven after a graceful battle with cancer. After passing peacefully in her sleep at her daughter’s home in Little Britain, in her 81st year on Thursday, December 9, 2010. She will be treasured forever in our hearts and her gentle spirit missed greatly by everyone who knew her. May (nee Winn), beloved wife of the late Peter Van den Tweel of Ashburn. Deeply loved mother of John Van den Tweel and his wife Suzanne of Newcastle, Angela and her husband Gord Wallace of Oshawa, Peter Van den Tweel of Edmonton, Rosemary and her husband Dan Paplinski of Little Britain, and the late Caroline Carpentier. Loving grandmother of Bonnie, Austin, Emma-May, Ryan, Mabel, Daniel and Brendan. Great grandmother of Sarah, Erica and Noah. Predeceased by her brothers George, Don, and Kenneth Winn and her sister Kathleen Greet. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews in Canada, England and Holland. The family of May Van den Tweel will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Saturday, December 11th from 9:30 – 11 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Perry at 11 a.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating.
