JOHN RANDOLPH MAPPIN ~ (Veteran WW II) ~ Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Wynfield in Oshawa, at age 85. John Mappin of Whitby, beloved husband of the late Hilda (nee Johns). Loved father of Bernice and her husband Ewald Bengel of Prince Albert, Paul Mappin of Port Perry, Rick Mappin and his wife Dawn of Port Perry, Doug Mappin and his wife Michelle of Whitby, and Debbie and her husband Tony Moxam of Paris. Loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Lucie Luke. The family of John Mappin will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, January 21st from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Port Perry Baptist Church on Saturday, January 22nd at 11 a.m. Interment Nestleton United Church Cemetery in the Spring.
