Obituary of George Skerratt

GEORGE LESLIE SKERRATT ~ Peacefully, on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry at age 95. George Skerratt, beloved husband of the late Della (nee Lee). Much loved father of Audrey and her husband Ken Middleton of Scugog Island, Dorothy and her husband Donald Little of Newcastle, Maxine and her husband Bob Keenan, and Merna and her husband Grant Cawker of Oshawa, Carol Williamson and Martin Groff, and George Skerratt Jr. and his wife Linda of Lindsay, and Richard Skerratt and his wife Cathy of Port Perry. He will be remembered and missed by his eighteen grandchildren and his thirty-five great grandchildren. Dear brother of Frank Skerratt and his wife Muriel of Uxbridge. He was predeceased by his brothers Walter, Henry, Edwin, Robert, his granddaughter Janice Marie Middleton and his parents Edwin and Henrietta Skerratt. The family of George Skerratt will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, January 15th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 16th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Linda Park officiating.
