DOUGLAS ROSS HEALEY (Veteran WWII, Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #419 Port Perry, Member of Warriner Lodge #75 I.O.O.F., Port Perry) Peacefully, on Friday, January 8, 2010, in Port Perry, at age 86. Doug Healey of Port Perry, loving son of the late Ross and Irene Healey of Saintfield. Dear brother of Robert Healey and his wife Marion of Port Perry, and Marion and her husband Murray Wallace of Minden and he was predeceased by his brothers Jack and Bruce. Loved companion of Aileen Snooks of Port Perry. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. The family of Doug Healey will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday, January 12th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, January 13th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Elaine Sveet officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Legion Poppy Fund. A Legion service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening, an Oddfellows service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
