ROBERT JAMES HEALEY ~ (Veteran WWII, Member of Queens Own Rifles of Canada, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #419 Port Perry for 60 years, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Port Perry Minor Hockey, Port Perry Minor Baseball, and life long fan of the New York Yankees) After a short illness, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 87. Robert Healey of Scugog Island, beloved husband of Marion (nee Sweetman) for 65 years. Loved father of Pat and her husband John Connors of Port Perry, Faye Castle of Oshawa, Michael Healey of St. Catherines, Terri Healey of Newmarket, Todd Healey and his wife Kari of Prince Albert. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Marion and her husband Murray Wallace of Minden. Predeceased by his brothers Jack, Doug and Bruce. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. The family of Bob Healey will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, July 6th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 7th at 11 a.m. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Legion Poppy Fund. A Legion service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening.
