Obituary of Agnes Houthuys

AGNES "NANCY" HOUTHUYS Beloved wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister and friend lost her courageous battle with cancer in the early hours of Wednesday, May 10, 2006 with her husband Willy at her side. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, sons Stuart (Cathy), William (Sandra), daughters Lorna, Janet (Rob) and Shelley (predeceased). Sadly will be missed by her grandchildren: Lorna, Terry, Tyler, Jessica, Kyle, Colin, Travis, Emily and Chad and her great grandchildren: Taylor, Ryleigh and MacKenzie. She also leaves behind sisters May, Annie and Phyllis. Nancy was predeceased by her brother Tom and parents David and Elizabeth Campbell. Those who knew Nancy came to know that she was someone who always thought of others and reached out to many. She will be missed by many friends and family. She now embarks on the next wonderful adventure with the love and fondest blessings of all who knew her. A special thank you to Dr Reid, Dr Yu, Dr Sexton, Dr Fleming, Dr. McKeough and the wonderful 6th floor nursing staff at University Hospital and VON for your help and kindness. The family of Nancy Houthuys will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, May 12th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, 1680 Reach Street in Port Perry on Saturday, May 13th at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Dean Bursey officiating.
