WINNIFRED ELECTA VANCE Peacefully, at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, on Thursday, September 28th, 2006, at age 92. Electa (nee Birkett) beloved wife of the late Wilbur Vance of Port Perry. Loved step mother of Shirley and her husband the late Jack Simons of Brighton. Loving grandmother of Rodney Simons and his wife Vicki of Belleville and Leanne Simons of Toronto. Great grandmother of Alexandra and Caroline. Predeceased by her brother Ray Birkett, and her sisters Bernice Kent and Eileen Lee all of Port Perry. The family of Electa Vance will receive friends at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Monday, October 2, 2006 from 10 – 11 a.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Reverend Nancy Monteith officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Prince Albert United Church Memorial Fund or the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.
