IDA FLORENCE PEARCE
On Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 97. Ida (nee Wakelin), formerly of Old Portsmouth, England, fond sister to Dol, Nell and Arthur (all deceased). Ida is lovingly remembered by her children Shirley, Juliet, Charles, Isabel, Jason and Richard, as well as her sons and daughters-in-law: Andrew Borowiec, Trish Pearce, Clive Carr, Pip Pearce and Susan Pearce. Proud grandmother of Sebastian, Jasper, Yolanda, Jessica, Nicola, Harry, John, Clive, Jessica, Annabel and Nicholas and great-grandmother of Sam, Max, India, Sebastian, Iona, Tallulah, Jemima, Willow, Athena and Samuel. Daughter of Mignon and Charles Wakelin, survivor of both World Wars and the London Blitz, Ida was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. The family of Ida Pearce will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, January 12th from 2 - 4 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held at the Anglican Church of the Ascension, 266 North Street in Port Perry on Saturday, January 13th at 3 p.m. with Reverend Brent Stiller officiating.
