Obituary of Sylvia Lorraine Spiers

SYLVIA LORRAINE SPIERS Passed away peacefully at home with dignity and grace, after a lengthy illness on Monday, May 14, 2007, at age 71. Sylvia (nee Rosnik), beloved wife of Bill Spiers of Port Perry. Loved mother of Stuart Spiers and his wife Laura of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Sandra Spiers of Port Perry, and Russell Spiers and his wife Cory of Oshawa. Loving grandmother of Riley, Gavin, Charles, Stevie, Michaela, Mitchell, Liam and Cody. Sylvia will be sadly missed by her surviving sisters Beatrice and her husband Bob Chapman and Barbara Martin. She was predeceased by her parents Steve and Lorraine Rosnik, her sister Joyce Fry and her brother Steve Rosnik. Sylvia will also be missed by her neighbours and friends from Canterbury Common, Port Perry and Ranchero Village, Largo, Florida. The Family of Sylvia Spiers will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday, May 15th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, May 16th at 2 p.m. with Reverend Frazer Lacey officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Perry. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society.
