WILLIAM GEORGE CORLETT The Corlett family sadly announces the passing of William Corlett on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. Bill died peacefully at home, with his family at his side, at the age of 72, after a long battle with kidney disease. He leaves behind Patricia, his wife, of 48 years. Loving father of Allison and her husband Martin Cairns, Jennifer and her husband John Miles, and Andrea Prussky. Loved Papa of Hayley, Ryan, Laura, Simon, Rachael, Jonah, and Lilly. Also greatly saddened by Bills passing are his sister Catherine and her husband Joseph Fifik, and his brother Fred Corlett and his wife Frances. Bill was formerly employed by Thomas J. Lipton and retired as Vice President of Sales and Corporate development. We will all miss our hero who loved and encouraged us, never complained and even in moments of pain continued to display his humour and fighting spirit. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1710 Scugog Street (Hwy 7A) in Port Perry on Tuesday, May 22nd at 10 a.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating. A reception will follow at The Centre, 127A Waterbury Crescent, in Port Perry. If lieu of flowers, donations may be made through the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Kidney Foundation. Special thanks to Bill’s medical support team: Dr. Gordon Mercer of Port Perry & Dr. John Kim of Princess Margaret Hospital, and the excellent nurses at Lakeridge Health Whitby, Oshawa, and Port Perry On-line condolences may be left at www.waggfuneralhome.com
