Obituary of Ross Stone

JAMES ROSS STONE Peacefully, at Woodhaven Long Term Care Residence, in Markham, on Monday, May 28, 2007, at age 83. Ross Stone of Markham, beloved husband of Leila (nee Gerrow). Dear father of Jim and his wife Lynn of Belleville, Bryan and his wife Gail of Richmond Hill, and Glenn and his wife Lynn of Newmarket. Dear brother of William Stone and his wife Betty of Port Perry, George Stone (deceased) and Jean Gregg (deceased). Son of the late Campbell and Eva Stone. Loving grandfather of Linda, Tim, Eric, Steven, Trevor, Michael and Graham, who will greatly miss him. Forever remembered by his many friends, his family, and members of the Clan Leask. Ross was a First Class Stationery Engineer who enjoyed a distinguished career with the Ministry of Labour and the Government of Ontario for 35 years. His sense of humour, fairness and a deep respect for all earned him many wonderful and lasting friendships. The Family of Ross Stone will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Thursday, May 31st from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Friday, June 1st at 11 a.m. with Reverend John Nile officiating.
