JOAN LUCILLE "LOU" LUNNEY ~ (Wonderful, Caring Homemaker with fond memories of teaching at Elk Lake Public School) ~ Peacefully, on Friday, May 27, 2011, at the West Shore Village in Port Perry, at age 79. Lou (nee Bowen) of Beaverton, and formerly of Bethany, beloved wife of the late Orville Charles Lunney. Loving mother of Barbara Duff (Gary Farrow) of Pontypool, Douglas (Pauline) Lunney of Whitby, Linda Royle (Kirk Sullivan) of Port Perry, and Steven Lunney of Woodville. Loved grandmother of Jeremy (Eva) Duff and Karen (Clint Coleman), Justin, Jodie, and Dwayne (Kerry) Farrow, Kevin and Allison Lunney, Emma Collins, Lindsay and Jessica Royle, Amanda, Ashley and Wesley Lunney, and 10 great grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Diane (Larry Mathison). Special aunt of Ron (Monica) Buxton. Predeceased by her parents Douglas and Frances Bowen of Englehart, and Uncle Tom (Hilda) Haley. A private family service will be held at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171). Interment McNeil Cemetery, Wick.
