Noreen, Carl & Lisa & the grandchildren. Don was a great guy. I have fond memories of visiting the Yelverton farm when I was growing up. After a few years away and getting married, we always enjoyed visiting in your Bowmanville home. You will have many more memories then we do, take these and cherish them. Hope dear to your hearts all the good times. May he rest in peace. Helen (Gilbank) Silver

Noreen, Carl & Lisa...............great memories of summers spent at the farms of the 'Johnston boys.' Donald was about the funniest uncle one could ever have. When I visited in the summer of 2010, he was still joking and taking verbal shots. Condolences also to Doug - you and Don were one heck of a team. A life well lived !

Noreen, Carl & Lisa, I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I have informed all of my family and they all extend their condolences. Don was always Dad #2 to me, lol, and I will always remember the great times we had at both of our farms. Don was a great man whom I respected and loved very much. My love and thoughts are with your family and I will be at the viewing and the funeral. Again, my deepest condolences. Don will be forever remembered by everyone who knew him. Great man!! Love you Dad #2. Donna.
