DONALD EDWARD GIBSON ~ On Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa, at age 66. Don Gibson of Blackstock, husband of Shirley (nee Dowson). Beloved father of Kevin Gibson of Toronto, Sheryl and her husband Matt Julien of Kingston, and Nicole and her husband John Steele of Thamesford. Loving grandfather of Madison, Ashley, Grace, Reesor, and Ronan. Dear brother of Robert Gibson and his wife Anne of Kincardine, and Nancy (deceased) and her husband Doug Fox (deceased). Brother-in-law of Ken and Maureen Dowson, and Nancy and Dave Obee. Son-in-law of Dora Dowson. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and his dog Ridley. The family of Donald Gibson will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on, Tuesday, September 13th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Blackstock United Church on Wednesday, September 14th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Linda Saffrey officiating.
