Obituary of Lorne Wayne Annis

With heavy hearts the family announces the death of Lorne Annis at the age of 67 years. Lorne passed away peacefully at the Temiskaming Hospital in New Liskeard on Monday, October 19, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born in Oshawa to the late Mervin Annis and the late Isabel Honey. He was an officer with the Durham Police Force for 25 years and a resident of Lorrain Township for the past 10 years. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoyed riding his Harley with his family and friends. Lorne loved the outdoors, woodworking and playing with his “Tonka Toys”. Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his loving son Wayne Annis and his wife Heidi, his grandchildren Ambrielle and Hunter as well as his brothers John (Debbie) Annis, Richard (Sheila) Annis and his sister Sheila Annis. Fondly remembered by his companion Penelope Jane Hopkins and the Hopkins families as well as his Lorrain Township neighbours and friends. The family of Lorne Annis will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Saturday, October 24th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to Celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Sunday, October 25th at 2 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Community Cancer Centre in Temiskaming or to Ride for Dad for Prostate Cancer.
