Obituary of Mary Lea Ila Dowson

Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa, at age 75. Mary Lea (nee McEachern), beloved wife of the late Jack Dowson of Port Perry. Loved mother of Lea and her husband Jeff Lackie of Thorburn, Nova Scotia and Bill Dowson and his partner Patti of Port Perry. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Stacey. Loving grandmother of Bethany, Heather, Jessica, Khrystyne, Payton, Melissa, Brandon and Logan. Best friend and companion of Jack Rodd. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. The Family of Mary Lea Dowson will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday, January 19th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, January 20th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Elaine Hall officiating.
