ARTHUR WILLIAM COUVES February 23, 1914 – November 30, 2007 Peacefully, with family at his side, on Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Scarborough Grace Hospital, at age 93. Arthur Couves of Greenbank, beloved husband of almost 65 years of the late Pearl (nee Finney) (2003). Loved father of Lillian (Danny Reesor) of Scarborough, Ruth (James Murphy) of Brampton and Betty (Ron Heard) of Oshawa. Proud grandfather of Chris (Danielle) Reesor of Scarborough, Robert (Laurie) Dobson of Waterloo, Heather Murphy (John Hayes) of Georgetown, Laura Dobson of Toronto, Charlene (Reesor) (Trevor) Lyn of Etobicoke, Louise (Murphy) (Enrico) Vonghia of Georgetown and Denise (Reesor) (Dave) Bell of Greenbank. Fondly remembered by 13 great grandchildren Sara, Meghan and Emma Reesor, Melissa, Spencer and Benjamin Dobson, Braden Hayes, Hilliary and Sebastian Lyn, Alexander Vonghia, Katelyn, Darren and Karianne Bell. Dear brother of the late Edward (late Barbara Thorpe) Couves, and the late Grace Couves. Special brother-in-law of Jeannette (Finney) Montgomery. Fondly remembered by Ed (Jean) Finney, Carol (Robert) Crowder, Mary Lem, Robert (Jane) Finney, Nancy (Danny) Gagnon, Jessie (John) Hagerman and Peter (Jeanine) Finney. The family of Arthur Couves will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, (905-985-2171) on Friday, December 14th, from 6 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held at the Greenbank United Church on Saturday, December 15th, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Duncan Cameron officiating. Private interment Bethel Cemetery, Greenbank. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Greenbank United Church Memorial Fund.
