Obituary of John Henry Dodds

JOHN HENRY "JACK" DODDS (Formerly of Brimley Road, Scarborough, Retired from the TTC with 24 years of service, Member of the Sons and Daughters of Ireland Protestant Association, Member Loyal Orange Association, Member of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Port Perry and former member of Riverdale Presbyterian Church, Toronto and St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Scarborough.) Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, at age 87. John Dodds of Sunderland, beloved husband of the late Daisy (nee McCloy). Loved father of Liz and her husband Mike Hobson of Pickering and Dave Dodds and his wife Karen of Toronto. Loving grandfather of Lindsay (Mike), Ryan (Keri Anne), Crystal, Kellyanne (Pete), Nicole and known to his great grandchildren as John Boy to Amber, Adam, Peter and Kevin. Dear brother of Lil Gilpin of Hamilton, Sadie (deceased) and Margaret (deceased). John will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends. The family of John Dodds will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, December 14th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, December 15th at 2 p.m. with Reverend Calvin Stone officiating.
