Obituary of Joy Ballard

Peacefully, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 90. Joy (nee Hood) of Port Perry, has gone to be with the love of her life, her beloved husband, the late John Fredrick Ballard. Loving mother of Ralph Ballard and his wife Gale of Scugog Island, Rick Ballard and his wife Kelly of Ancaster, Lea-Anne and her husband Gordon Williamson of Seagrave, Donna and her husband Robert Thomson of Scugog Island and Denna and her husband Mark Howsam of Scugog Island. Loved grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Audrey Lee. Joy was predeceased by her parents Russell and Mabel Hood, her brother Glen, her sister Jean Laing and her granddaughter Ashleigh Howsam. A private family service was held in the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, December 7th with Reverend Elaine Hall officiating.
