Susan Moseley

Obituary of Susan Ellen Moseley

Peacefully, after a courageous and gracious battle with glioblastoma, on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at her home in Uxbridge, at age 64. Susan (nee Wisniewski), beloved wife of David Moseley. Loving mother of Ethan Moseley and Jessie Davis, Clare Moseley, and Robert Moseley and his wife Leah Moseley. Daughter of Bernice and the late Mitchell Wisniewski of Roselle, Illinois. Daughter-in-law of Cynthia and the late Tom Moseley of Guelph. Susan bids farewell to her brothers and sisters, her nieces, nephews and patchwork quilt of extended and chosen family. She filled their lives with love, song, art, literature, and lots and lots of delicious food. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Susan felt called to pursue post-secondary education in Toronto where she studied arts and literature, found love, and started a family before settling in Uxbridge. She was a fixture in town managing the IGA, hosting the concerts of Le Vent Du Nord, and as a member of 100 Women Who Care. Susan always made sure that everyone around her had everything they needed: a warm meal, a loving home, a sense of whimsy, and unending support and encouragement no matter what the endeavour. A celebration of Susan's life will be held August 11th from 2 - 6 p.m. at the Uxbridge Senior's Centre (75 Marietta Street in Uxbridge). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research (https://donate.sunnybrook.ca/braincancerresearch).
