Obituary of Jennifer Gwen Coombs

Jennifer Coombs, (nee Roschman), passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at the age of 49. She will be remembered by her beloved husband of twenty-nine years, Richard Coombs of Scugog Island. She was an amazing mother and friend to her daughter Rachael and her husband Justin Vandergaast, and to her son Michael Coombs and his partner Amy Debes. She was a much beloved and caring daughter to her mother Elizabeth Rossen and her husband Elvin, and to her father Paul Roschman and his wife Marlene. Jennifer was the dear sister of Richard Roschman and his wife Leyanne, Jeff Roschman, and Beth Roschman and her husband Kaoru Sakaguchi. Her laughter and kindness will be remembered by her nieces, nephews, her extended family, and her many treasured friends and colleagues, who are a testament to her loyalty and generous spirit. The family would like to thank Dr. Jose Chang, and the outstanding nursing staff at the Lakeridge Health Centre Durham Region Cancer Centre, Dr. Merrilee Brown, and the compassionate and dedicated nurses at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry. The family of Jennifer Coombs will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, November 22nd from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service will be held in the Port Perry Baptist Church (2010 Highway 7A in Port Perry) on Saturday, November 23rd at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation or the Oshawa General Hospital Foundation New Durham Regional Cancer Centre.
