FREDERICK WILLIAM MARCONI Peacefully, on Monday, April 21, 2008, at the Lakeridge Health Centre, in Port Perry, 2 weeks after his 80th birthday. Bill Marconi, beloved husband and soul mate of Ruth (nee McDonald) of Port Perry. Loving brother of Mildred and her husband Al Rowcliffe. Dear uncle of Michael Foster and his wife Belle, Michael McDonald, Jim McDonald, David McDonald, Jane Lawry, Eileen Berthelette, Ann Latour, Lorne Fitzpatrick, David Fitzpatrick, and many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Born in Toronto, Bill spent 35 years with the Provincial Government, before retiring to beautiful Blackstock in 1983. Bill enjoyed many wonderful years of gardening and travel. While a member of the Toronto Movie Club Bill won many awards for his travel and other short movies. A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful and caring nurses at Lakeridge Health Port Perry, and to Dr. Tony Brown who was always there. The family of Bill Marconi will receive friends at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Chapel in Port Perry on Friday, April 25th from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Church at 11 a.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating.
