Obituary of Ruby Christie

RUBY CHRISTIE Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, at age 95. Ruby (nee Dunford), beloved wife of the late Fred Christie (2002) of Prince Albert. Loved mother of Paul Christie and his wife Barbara of Port Perry, and Susan and her husband John Gratkowski of Port Hoover. Loving grandmother of Derek, Lauren, Sheena and Matthew. Ruby was predeceased by her sisters Muriel and Winn and her brother Bill. The family of Ruby Christie will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, December 12th from 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, December 13th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Brent Stiller officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Community Nursing Home Activity Fund in Port Perry.
