Obituary of George Albert Handel

GEORGE ALBERT HANDEL Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at the Westshore Village in Port Perry, at age 89. George Handel of Port Perry, beloved husband of Jean (nee Miller). Loving father of Scott Handel and his wife Sheila of Blackstock, Laura Luther of Fergus, Janice and her husband Bill Kavanah of Port Perry, and Lynn (deceased) and her husband Jim Kennedy of Clarkson. He will be sadly missed by his 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Dear brother of Betty and her husband Robert Densmore, May Borsk (deceased) and Win Milne (deceased). The family of George Handel will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, (905-985-2171) on Saturday, December 20th from 1 – 2 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with Michelle Hofman officiating followed by a reception in the front room of the Funeral Home. Interment Spring Creek Cemetery, Mississauga. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Alzheimer Society, the Parkinson Foundation or the Salvation Army.
