Carrie we have wondered whatever became of your Mom. Today I was cleaning out some drawers and came across a letter she had sent us in 1994. I started searching and finally found this obituary on-line. We had so many good adventures together on our boats. We hope you guys are all doing well.

To Cathy, who was a good and loyal friend. We enjoyed many exciting adventures together mainly on Georgian Bay. Cathy was always a willing comarade in work and play. If I ever needed anything Cathy would do her best to help. Cathy was even kind enough to include me in her family trip to Scotland and her daughter's wedding in Jamica. I will sorely miss her. My heartfelt condolences to her family. Susan

Catherine the Great! Oh, how you will be missed. I think of you often, then reality sets in and my brain has to tell my heart that you are actually gone. What a life you had. From poor conditions in war torn Scotland and childhood neglect to being adopted and a later journey to a new life in Canada. "Flip of the coin" you used to say. One side Australia the other Canada. We all know now which side won. You loved bicycles and easily transitioned to a Harley Davidson that you rode on to tour North America and Europe. Scuba diving became another love for you which you eventually shared and passed on Stu and Den. Boating came next starting with canoes and aluminum boats and quickly making the big leap to a 25ft Chris Craft and later a 45ft Carver. You could always be seen grinning from ear to ear behind the helm. Next came travel. You wanted to be a cook or deckhand on a world wide sailing adventure but unfortunately age was against you so you decided to prove them wrong by pack-backing and walking solo through Australia, New Zealand and China at 69 years of age. Later you decided you wanted to return to your roots with camping. You purchased a small travel trailer and off you went exploring the countryside. Many of the United States, Mexico and Central America. Stopping wherever you wanted always making new friends or catching up with old ones. Staying in trailer parks or just on the beach. You were fearless, easy going, and over friendly, helping out anyone and not expect anything in return. An inspiration to many. I was truly devastated to watch this horrible disease rob you of all these great memories. Your family and friends will always remember them for you and perhaps hoping that you have them all back now and are living it up again wherever you are. Love you forever, Carrie
