Obituary of Kent McKelvey

JOHN GOWANS KENT McKELVEY ~ Suddenly while vacationing in Florida on Thursday, January 28, 2010, in his 80th year. Kent McKelvey of Port Perry and formerly of Columbus, is survived by his wife of 49 years Anna Margaret "Peggy" (nee Stewart), his sister Margaret Elizabeth "Peg" and his children Mary Margaret Bellinger (Ian), Karen Elizabeth Hurd (James) and John Kent McKelvey. Proudest grandfather to Jennifer and Janet Hurd and Amanda McKelvey. Dear brother-in-law of Bob Stewart (Jody), Liz Dodds, and Merle Heintzman and cousin of Bill West (Bev). He will be sadly missed by his grand-dogs, Kita and Scotty. The family of Kent McKelvey will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985 2171) on Friday, February 5th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Columbus United Church on Saturday February 6th at 11 a.m. Private interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.
