Peacefully, on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 80. Jannie (nee Lemson), beloved wife of Len van Schagen of Port Perry. Loved mother of Casey van Schagen and his wife Mary of Blackstock, Margot and her husband Brian Brain of Port Perry, Glen van Schagen of Ottawa, and Larry van Schagen and his wife Marcy of Raleigh, North Carolina. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and foster mother to many. Dear sister of Ria van der Bijl And. Predeceased by her brother Cor. She will be missed by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and her nieces and nephews.
The Family of Jannie van Schagen will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, August 16th from 7 - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Port Perry on Saturday, August 17th at 11 a.m. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert.
