Obituary of Virginia Edna Ann Elson
A kind, caring soul has left us to be with her parents Kenneth and Elva Elson and her brother-in-law Joseph Fiorini on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa, at the age of 69. Left behind with heavy hearts are her brothers Wayne (Marilyn) of Bancroft, and Larry and her special sister Sharon Fiorini of Richmond Hill. Family was most important to Virginia. Talking about her nephews Ross (Nicole) and Robert (Ang) always brought a smile to her face. Watching and hearing about her great nieces and nephews, Alexander, William, McKenzie, Everlynne, Grace and Samuel was a great joy to her. Reminiscing about her days growing up in Greenwood, caring for flowers and discovering nature was a big part of Virginia’s life. She will be missed by family friends Ellen and Lloyd, friends at Hope Christian Reformed Church, many cousins, friends at the Immaculate Conception Seniors Residence, staff and support workers at Community Living Durham North, Personal Support Workers and all whose lives she touched.
In compliance with public health and safety a private family service was held on Thursday, April 23rd at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171). A public Celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at a later date. Interment Uxbridge Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to Community Living Durham North or the Hospital for Sick Kids Foundation in Toronto.
