Obituary of Joyce Marie Kelly
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, in her 88th year. Joyce (nee Graham), beloved wife of Gerald (predeceased 2011) for 46 years. Loving mother of Elizabeth (Peter Peeters), Eleanor (predeceased 1986), Elaine (Charles Rivett) and Esther Kelly (Francis Peeters). Proud Grandma to Courtney (Evan McDonnell), Kathryn and Graham Peeters; Jocelyn and Adam Rivett and Momma to Zoe and Addie Peeters. Lovingly remembered by her brother Harvey Graham and his wife, Joan.
Joyce will be remembered for her sweet nature, her gentle way and her kindness to others. She enjoyed being with her family and she was loved in return. She had many friends during her life from all points across the country through her many adventures and volunteer positions. Joyce was the voice of many horse and tractor pulls. She enthusiastically devoted her time and energy to many organizations including the Blackstock Agricultural Society, OAAS, COTPA/OTTPA, Blackstock United Church and Women’s Institute. She was always working to improve her community through service. Joyce was a past School Board Trustee and Scugog Township Councillor.
In light of COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a small private service attended by immediate family and live streamed (https://fb.me/e/21o06exlS) for relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 26th 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985‑2171). Interment Verulam Cemetery, Bobcaygeon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Blackstock United Church Memorial Fund.
