Obituary of Hilda Elma Greifeneder

 03.01.1933 – 22.05.2021

Peacefully on May 22nd, 2021 at the Port Perry Hospital. Born on January 3rd 1933 in Liudvinavas, Lithuania to Adelina Lukat and Otto Kaslauskas. In 1951 Hilda immigrated to Canada, along with her mother, father, and brothers. She loved gardening, flowers, travel, cooking and baking, her partner Werner and her family. She always had an open door and a spectacular meal awaiting family and friends and was always there for others. Hilda had an incredible work ethic. She worked hard all her life and was able to enjoy retirement over the last 25+ years with her husband Werner, traveling, working in the garden, spending time with her family, and to the delight of everyone, cooking spectacular meals from family recipes passed on through the generations. She was beautiful both inside and out. This, along with her wisdom, kindness and generosity, made life beautiful for everyone around her. Hilda will be dearly missed by her grandchildren William, Leonardo, Joren, Taylor, Austin and Christopher, and her children David Mahal (Johanna), Pamela Mahal (Michele Gucciardi), Eleanor Smith (Malcolm), her nephew Michael Kaslauskas (Gina), her brother Walter Kaslauskas (Sharon) and her husband Werner Koepke.
