Mae Troski

Obituary of Mae Troski

It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Mae B. Troski, on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the age of 90. She was surrounded by her loving family as she went to be with the Lord. Beloved wife of the late Peter E. Troski. Loving mother of Tina Y. Gerber-McCurley (Martin McCurley), Joy L. Jones (the late Lorne Jones) and the late Elaine P. Bell. Grandmother to Hailey Leach (Ty), Emily Gerber (Travis Mortson) and great grandmother to Penelope, Evelyn, Wesley, Harper and Paisley.

After raising and caring for her family, Mae became a business woman. She owned and operated Troski’s Tackle and Live Bait at the west corner of 7A and Queen Street for 20 years, after retiring she opened a Health Store in Sunderland, and later a Dry Goods Store in Cannington.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff that work on the Victoria House Unit within Victoria Manor in Lindsay for their compassionate and loving care, including the Activation Department, and especially Jessica.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985‑2171). A private celebration of her life will be planned for a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Port Perry Place for the Dementia Unit or the Alzheimer Society. Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.waggfuneralhome.com
