Remember me when I am gone away,
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go, yet turn to stay.
Remember me when no more, day by day,
You tell me of the future that you planned.
Yet if you should forget me for awhile,
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
Better by far you should forget and smile,
Than you should remember and be sad.
For once again, together are we,
My one and only true love, your Dad and me.
