I am so sorry for your loss and my heartfelt condolences to the family. She was a wonderful woman, a true lady and I have many fond memories of her when we took over the little house on Maple every weekend. She made everyone feel welcome. May you forever rest is Paradise!

As kids I remember how welcome Aunt Mert made us feel. From pots of tea at the kitchen table to philosophical conversations that we young ones thought we smart. From going to movies on Friday nights to red pin bowling on Saturdays. We always managed to get double cheese and bacon pizza and enjoyed dolling ourselves up with her make-up. Love of animals was always present with fur brothers Mickey and Dusty( Dumb Dumb)too who often show up for visit. LeeAnn would get the run of the house and loved to call up the CHOO Country radio stations and ask for request. Seems we enjoyed our "old people"music. Aunt Mert was a kind gentle person who lifted up so many. The Equalizer thankfully was used rarely under careful consideration lolo. I will miss her dearly and wonderful lasting memories. May aunt Mert Rest In Peace and be all whom have passed before her. She was a big part of our lives growing up, I remember when we first moved to Whitby we lived at aunt Merts in the little house on Maple Street sister terry and I and mom and we all shared mom, aunt Mert Leanne Kimmy, Terry and I, and it was crowed but we had each other and made it work. Oh and how do I forget I used to eat the frozen strawberries from the freezer, and auntie always reminded me as we grew up. Photo of me mom terry and aunt Mert on our 50th birthday ❤️
