Obituary of Harry J. Thornton

Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the Oak Ridges Hospice, in Port Perry, at age 95. Harry Thornton, beloved husband of Jean (nee Sproul) of Port Perry. Loving father of Cyndie and her husband Tim, Richard and his wife Leona, and Greg and his wife Cynthia. He will be remembered by his 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother Robert and his sister Shirley. Will be remembered by his nieces and nephews and his may friends.
The family of Harry Thornton will receive friends at the Anglican Church of the Ascension, 266 North Street, Port Perry on Friday, March 25th from 10 - 11 a.m. A Service to Celebrate his life will be held in the Church at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial donation maybe made by cheque to the Anglican Church of Ascension Memorial Fund, or the Oak Ridges Hospice through the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171).
