Obituary of Shirley Anne Lee

Shirley Lee (nee Ianson)

 August 6, 1934 - April 30, 2022

Passed away suddenly in her home at the Port Perry Villa on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Shirley (nee Ianson), was the loving wife of Murray Lee (deceased April 22, 2020). Shirley was a caring mother to predeceased son Gary (Charlene), Brian (Janice) and Debbie (Mark Roundell). Proud grandmother to Kelly (Rob), Jenna (John), Joshua (Shantelle), Katelyn (Christopher), Russell (Jessica) and Tyson (Sarah) and great grandmother to Dawson, James, Julia, Harley, Samuel and twins Jacob and Patrick. Loving sister to Evelyn (Keith Heron both deceased) and Frances (Gordon Walker deceased). Dear sister-law to Annabelle (Allan Ball), George Lee (Isabel), and Beatrice (Ted Murphy deceased). Shirley enjoyed gatherings over the years with her many nieces and nephews. She would always be at the ready to entertain and feed family and friends, especially with her prized butter tarts. Growing up and living her life in the Greenbank and Port Perry community she made many friends through the Greenbank United Church, Women’s Institute, UCW, at the curling club, driving the school bus and many other activities and volunteer work. Shirley enjoyed her last few years spent living at the Port Perry Villa retirement home where she met up with many old friends and made many new ones. She was always ready with a smile for a chat or a quick game of cards. A special Thank you to all the staff of Port Perry Villa - Revera retirement home for the wonderful compassionate care and friendship.
